Bug #43745: Ubuntu corrupts real time clock on some dell laptops

Hi everyone,

I have a Dell Inspirion 6000 Laptop and I planed to install Ubuntu 6.10- 
Edgy Eft.
Unfortunately I found the following bug in the bug database:

Bug #43745: Ubuntu corrupts real time clock on some dell laptops

I think all the bug reports in the database were over Ubuntu 6.06 
LTS-Dapper Drake.

It would be really nice, if somebody could tell me if this bug is still 
existing in Ubuntu 6.10. Has somebody experience with Ubuntu 6.10 on a 
Dell Inspirion 6000 or 6400 Laptop?
