Terminal Window, page up or page down (not)

using the Konsole app, to check on updates, like sudo aptitude update,
would display a list of sources.. to check for updated packages..

WHEN, I used the page up key, in the term window I hear a beep,
instead of the screen paging up wards..the icon change in the screen window 
changes to a bell shape, from a monitor icon...

Anyone ?
how did this change ? a bug ?
