fonts problem after enabling nvidia-glx driver

Folks,

I'm sorry if I'm repeating a known issue, but I wasn't
able to find anything on this in the forums.

I enabled the Nvidia proprietary driver, and restarted
X.  All of my GTK application fonts are now smaller,
while Firefox and OpenOffice.org remain the normal
size.  When I attempt to increase my general font
size, Firefox UI fonts become ridiculously large.

Is there a way to normalize the font settings so that
GTK apps match Firefox?  It's a little distracting.
