odd I found libpng12-dev in the main repository
http://packages.ubuntu.com/edgy/libdevel/libpng12-dev (that's edgy but
its also available for dapper)
libtiff3g seems to be old, use libtiff4, oddly when I checked
cinepaint it depended on libtiff4, not libtiff3g.
You should only need the dev libraries if your compiling cinepaint,
why don't you just install the binary from Universe?
And can someone who knows about these things explain to me why
packages.ubuntu.com seems to list different version numbers depending
on architecture? shouldn't it compile the same file for all the
different architectures?
