URGENT: Edgy as temporary router

I have a bit of an urgent request...
Recently, an engineer really screwed someone up and cut my cable line so 
I no longer have broadband access. My neighbor has allowed me to 
temporarily use his wifi network while my ISP gets on to repairing mine.

My laptop is great, but I need my wire-only desktop to grab some 
internet access too. Is it possible to use my Edgy laptop as a makeshift 
wifi access portal easily?? The wifi card connects happily to the doner 
network, and I can get the laptop and desktop to talk to each other over 
a crossover cat5 cable, but what I really need is for the desktop to 
pass through the ethernet port onto the wifi network, getting it's own 
dhcp and such rather than installing a dhcp and dns servers on the laptop.

Is this possibly to do quickly and in an easily reversible manner??
