upgrading from 5.10 to 6.0.6

For what it's worth, my experience was exactly the opposite -- I
(foolishly) upgraded my home machine remotely (from work) using
the-special-graphical-Ubuntu-upgrade-tool-whose-name-I've-forgotten,
and rebooted; it worked _flawlessly_.  That's the first major upgrade
of a Debian system that I've seen work _well_, let alone flawlessly.
