In the Great Book it has Been Written that on Tue, 30 May 2006 11:07:00
+0300 Avraham Hanadari <rufus at hanadari.net> didst appear within my
Magick Viewing Screen and, being somewhat pleasantly supplicatory, did
polemicize thusly:

> cd was a command in DOS days. I used it now and this is what I got:
> rick at DeepThought:~$ cd /rick
> bash: cd: /rick: No such file or directory
> rick at DeepThought:~$ cd /home
> bash: cd: /home: No such file or directory
> rick at DeepThought:~$ sudo cd /rick
> Password:
> sudo: cd: command not found
> rick at DeepThought:~$
>
> I think I'm missing something.

As indicated by the ~ (tilde) in the prompt, you are already in your
home (rick's) directory. Unless you have a /home/rick/rick you /will/
get a, "No such file or directory," error.
Also, to navigate back home from anywhere one need only issue the cd
command and add ~ (tilde).
This one, though:
rick at DeepThought:~$ cd /home
should have taken you up one directory into the /home dir. I don't
know why it wouldn't.
cd doesn't require root privileges and therefore is not in the sudo
path.
