Sharing a Linux printer on a Windows network

I'm currently trying to share a printer connected to my Ubuntu box with 
the Windows network in the rest of the house.  Unfortunately, after 
searching the forums and Googling my brain out, I've not found any means 
of getting the Windows machine to even recognize the existence of the 
Ubuntu box--or its printer.

So, I come looking for a guide to tell me exactly what I need to do to 
share a printer on my Linux box with the Windows boxen throughout the 
house--or at the very least, connect to the Windows network.
