Well I had this same kind of problem with Azureus (on that other
un-nameable OS, mind you) when logged as a common user and not as a
root / administrator.
Solved the problem by giving full rights to Azureus binaries folder to
everyone . . . :(
Well this is not the proper way to solve this problem under Linux. I
can't give you a more specific clue as to what to do in your case, I'd
just suggest you take a better look at paths / permissions / logins
and such.
