nscd on breezy

Any luck?



I too am trying to get the eMusic Dowload Manager installed.  I
installed NSCD, but cannot seem to get the daemon to start.  No errors
are reported when I kick it off with sudo.  I try the -g option and get
the message "nscd not running!"  No sign of it in the System Monitor
either.



Could it be a permissions/owner issue?  Could it be there are
undocumented dependencies?
