Subject: Sendmail and fully qualified domain name

I have an Ubuntu server that I need to make sure the FQDN is correct.  The problem that I have is that when I send an email with using the mail command I get root at localhost.localhost.  I am not sure why this is happening.

Here is my host file:
cat /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain   localhost       xlhost
206.222.X.X   mailer.clan-SeF.com     mailer          loghost mailhost

# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
::1     ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
ff02::3 ip6-allhosts

How can I see if my FQDM is set correctly?

Thanks
-T

Found my problem, I needed to change the DM setting in sendmail.mc to reflect my domain name.
