Seth,
just to confirm, I may used the wrong machine for that test,
now the Mac display hda, hda1, hda2, hda3, hda4, hdc, then its hdd 
-------hdd63 NO hdb, again, I did wipe the drive durning the install,
clean off the mac stuff.
