Ubuntu as a family

I think you raise an interesting point, at first I didn't like the idea
of having different distros for for each desktop environment. Now,
however, I've decided it's a great idea. I do find though it causes a
few problems when looking for solutions on google, if evryone did what
you did, i.e. said kubuntu when they were doing something kubuntu
specific and ubuntu otherwise that would be great. But, lots of things
say kubuntu, or edubuntu, etc. when it is applicable to all
ubuntu-based distros.
That said, it isn't THAT much of a problem and as for renaming ubuntu
to gubuntu...well i think that name sucks personally. No offence
intended, but it just doesn't flow as nicely as kubuntu or xubuntu.
I think it's fine leaving gnome-based ubuntu as ubuntu really, and
kubuntu/xubuntu/edubuntu users will just have to suffer the odd search
result that applies to a gnome only solution/tweak/whatever.
