Just how is the update manager supposed
to work? On my machine running Dapper the update
icon lights up every morning after booting - if I
mouse over the icon it'll tell me how many
updates can be installed - if I click on it it
sometimes download the latest info, but it never
downloads or installs the updates. If I mouseover
the icon a second time it says "A package manager
is working" but doesn't do anything. I have to go
into the menu and run update manager, or run a
shell and manually update/install the updates.
Doesn't sound to me like it's working properly.
