gconf-editor

hi all

im using dapper & i installed xgl. it worked once then when i rebooted i had
trouble. when i type "gconf-editor" & goto "apps" there is no "compiz" for
me to fiddle with.

also i have no file /usr/local/bin/Xgl which is part of my problem

i would apresiate any help on this
