Thanks all. I had made the firefoxfc fix and installed alsa-oss, but I didn't know about the "aoss firefox" launch command. Works now. This will suffice until v9 of flash is released and the underlying problem is said to be fixed once and for all. -- Colin Brace Amsterdam
