Hi,

I really love Ubuntu for its Support (Wikis and Forums) but with this
problem all the internet research had no results. So I hope that you
guys can help me out:

Yesterday I installed Dapper Drake (Flight7) on my IBM Thinkpad A31p.
Everything worked fine, I just have had a screen resolution in gnome of
1024x768 but my display and grafik card can up to 1600x1200 and y really
need this hight resolution.

After trying some things, which y found in the internet (changing
/etc/X11/xorg.conf and installing fglrx) y coulnd enter gdm. Right now
I think I got a good xorg.conf for my system, but I just get the
640x480 resolution.

The grafical Preferences-Screen Resolution Choice just gives my to
choose out of 640x480 and Refresh Rate -21213.

Here is some of my xorg.conf
