Hello all I am currently involved in a project to "transplant" an oem
install image to multiple different computers I am using partimage in
conjunction with dd to copy/restore the image and mbr. It is a fully
automated prosses. however, I can find no way to get ubuntu 5.10 to
find new video card in the new pc's, at first boot the xorg fails. I
either need a Generic driver such as vesa that will work with all
computers at differnet resolutions. (I have edited the xorg.conf to use
the vesa driver and the only resolution that is usable is 640x480, which
is unexceptable.) I would like to find a fully automated way for ubuntu
to reconfigure the video card at first boot.
