Dapper Drake on Dell Inspiron 5100

Hi,

I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 which ran perfectly under Breezy Badger. I 
performed a dist-upgrade to Dapper Drake and X is no longer coming up.
I have the followong error message (or better last message from the 
startx command):

FreeFontPath: FPR "/usr/share/X11/fonts/misc" refcount is 2, should be 1, 
fixing

I see also a line saying:

(EE) No input driver matching "synaptic"

The last error has to do with the touchpad and wommenting out all references 
to this line I only get the FreeFontPath error. Does someone have a working 
xorg.conf file from a Dell Inspiron 5100?
