Compress an avi file?

Perhaps encoding w/xvid, set the size to maybe 352x(whatever) & set the audio 
to 96kbs (rather than 128)...?  I've used that tack to dramatically cut the 
size but I truly cannot remember if I started w/anything quite as large as 
you have.
