Packages ! get the current ones???

Maybe I can help. Try clicking on <System> at the top of your screen.
Then place your cursor on <Administration>. Go down to <Synaptic
Package Manager> and click. This the program that allows you to update
most of your programs. How ever you need to include the rest of the
repositories that are not autoloaded. So after you enter your password
to start this program, Click on <Settings> at the top of the menu bar.
Highlight <Repositories>  with your cursor and click. A new screen will
appear. at the top right of this screen click on <+Add>. Again a new
screen will appear. You will see a list of the type of repositories
beeing loaded. 2 of them are not selected with a check mark. Click on
them to select them and click on OK. That screen will disappear. Click
on the ok on the <+Add> screen. An information screen will appear.
Click <Yes>. This will loaded the extra repositories you need to load
additional program up dates. Now Click mark All Upgrades. This might
get you started.
