Hard Drives mounting icon and formating

hehe. It's relatively new (3 years?), now part of the FHS as an 
advised but optional mount point. SuSE (partly) forced it in over 
protest from some distros :-)

The definition is that removable media goes in /media and permanent 
arb mounts go in /mnt. The reasoning is that /mnt was getting 
cluttered.

Do I take it that you like to find your cdrom at /cdrom then? ;-)
