Is it wise to upgrade to Dapper (Kubuntu) now?

Odd, I thought I had installed all updates to Breezy prior to trying the
upgrade. Am I likely yo run in to any issue with doing the upgrade the way
I have? I am prepared to start again (as it is a brand new install) if you
think that it might avoid any potential issues.
If I do this the process would be:

Install 5.10
Do all upgrades
Reboot
Do all upgrades again (just in case)
Reboot (just to be sure)
now do gksudo "update-manager -d" from a terminal (and cross my fingers!)

As an aside, would I be better to change my update sources from NZ to US
early on or doesn't it matter?

Would welcome peoples thoughts on this.

Cheers
