Is it wise to upgrade to Dapper (Kubuntu) now?

How long will it take for an upgrade for 256K ADSL line?

Which way is better to upgrade:

gksudo "update-manager -d"

or

edit your /etc/apt/sources.list

and change all references from breezy to dapper

then:

$ sudo aptitude update

$ sudo aptitude dist-up
