To me that's a feature :-)

Mine syncs every five seconds and the LED on the front flashes 
briefly. It's become my indicator-that-box-is-still-up of choice 
whenever I do a <insert latest brilliant^W stupid idea here> (which I 
do several times a day lately :-)
