Where r packages stored?

You can check and change this from the Synaptic Package Manager (System
-> Administration menu).

In Synaptic, go to the Settings menu and select Preferences.  Then
select the Files tab.

Here you can choose what you want Synaptic to do with the downloaded
packages. There's also a button there to manually delete the
installation files for all previously downloaded packages.
