For those who did not know. Today was Free Comic Book Day (
http://www.freecomicbookday.com/ ). The day that some of the
comic book publishers try to get you addicted to a new up coming
series or try and get new people addicted to comic with freebies
and wandering around the store and see something your interested
in. :p

Any how I picked up my four free comics, and a new graphic
novel. Was just browsing thru one of the freebies named "Comic
Genesis New Worlds. New Dreams." I ran across a article on
"Wanting to start your own web comic series." In it there was a
section on linux. Just the basics, free by being open source,
GIMP as a good photoshop clone, a few sites (Linux Doc site,
Linux Online, SANE) and 2 versions of linux that are good for
test driving as LiveCD's... Knoppix (which I am sure is of no
real surprise to anyone being one of the best known LiveCD
distro's) and our own beloved Ubuntu. Just brief descrips of
both of them, nothing like a 2 page report of the inner workings
of either. But a nice 1 paragraph descrip. Apparently one of the
Admins for Comic Genesis highly recommends Ubuntu to new users.

Just thought you all might like to know that even some comics
support spreading the word of Linux.
