OpenOffice Base is Broken: Update

It suddenly hit me that I had successfully created a four or five field 
database so I started with four & added several lines of info.  I then did 
the 'Edit' job on the fields & added several more.  Guess what: no more 
problems adding lines.  I did note, however, that OOo base seemed hesitant to 
accept some of the info in various fields.  Finally, after several tries, the 
data was accepted & saved. 

Totally weird behaviour, IMHO.  Bug??  There have been no reported bugs of 
this type but it is very easily recreated.
