apt-get update error

Dragging out an old horse here, but I wonder if someone has a different
answer to the above problem.



I am having the exact same problem as is mentioned above.  (This isn't
restricted to command line apt-get, either.  It also happens with
Synaptic, the system's Software Update utility, the Add Applications,
etc.)  I have gotten the same errors over a period of two days.  I have
been trying at times ranging from 22:00 to 0400 (local time, PST, GMT
-8).  I don't think that it is a network or congestion issue.
