How could I have Ubuntu running on HP Jornada 7xx ?

You can't. It's not a PC. (Or a Mac or any other platform Ubuntu supports.)
It's an ARM-based PDA. Ubuntu is a PC desktop distro; it expects
hundreds of MB of RAM and a hard disk. A Jornada has neither.
