| Hallo!
|
| I've installed Ubuntu on a Core Duo based laptop from Dell, and I have a
| question about cpu frequency scaling.
|
| After installing a smp kernel both processors are working fine, but
| frequency scaling is only working with cpu0. I've found a workarround by
| setting ondemand as the default governor for cpu1, but... shouldn't
| powernowd be actualized to support more than one processor -it's still a
| laptop and needs not to waste power/get too hot-? 8-?
Powernowd's creator has updated his package to 0.97 (available in debian's
sid), and now it works fine with his brand new Athlon 64 X2, and also in my
brother's Centrino Duo.
Thanks for your time ;)
