AMD64, ATI X800 and driver 8.23.7

Hello,

I've followed this howto:

However, I ran into a black screen when done. After alot of searching, I
found a number of guys with the exact same problem. Using SuSE, Gentoo
and ubuntu. You get a black screen, the machine stops responding and
what you see in the logs is "DRI loaded successfully".

So, I'm looking for someone with an AMD64, some ATI card and who is
running the latest drivers - that are 3D enabled.

Please send a carbon-copy to me when/if you respond, as I'm not
subscribed to the list.
