[Dapper] video regressions from Breezy (vlc)

I have this problem under breezy. The only player that I can seem to get
to work is RealPlayer and then I have to set the CPU usage to its lowest
level. The quality isn't great.
I don't really understand this. My machine is fast enough to play DVDs
without any problems.
