did you file a bug report? It seems possible that you need a kernel
module to make the fans operate as needed. (Similar, but opposite to
the problem with G5 Macs -- in that case if you DON'T have the module,
the Apple firmware puts the fans on full speed -- so-called "hair
dryer" mode.)
