its not getting instaled on my pc...:-(

DEAR SIR,
         my self is manish kumar i m a new user of
UBUNTU LINUX.while installing the version 5.10 for 64
bit pc.i have to had a problem that it dosnt puton and
get stopped at"starting to  hotplug subsystems"..plz
sir suggest me what to do with this problem and my
system cofiguration is-:

   mother board-:intel D915GLVG with INTEGRATED
REALTEK SOUND CARD
  RAM-: 512 MB.PROCESSOR P4..
