Just to make it clear, the ultra 20 is indeed an opteron based machine :)
The breezy disk I installed off was a new, pressed cd, the dapper iso
had the right md5sum and the disk was verified (k3b) after burning. I
installed dapper flight 5 i386 and it was fine but it is an opteron so I
would like to have 64 bit running.
They routinely run breezy x86 as a part of our remote linux system and
it works fine there too.
Seeing as you have successfully run dapper 64 on them I am completely
confused. The only difference between our ultra 20s and the stock
standard is that we installed intel nics in them. Some hardware info is
below. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas.
