Installing Ubuntu remotely?

I actually see this as one of the inadequacies of the Ubuntu installer.
With Redhat's Anaconda installer it is easy to do network installs, hard
disk installs, etc., whereas in Ubuntu it is not. I think there is a need
for this. Too bad I can't code.
