Keeping a deb file, and not upgrading it....

I have had a problem with my printer and the release of cupsys for 5.10. 
Basically, it did not print. I tried an experiment, and forced the upgrade of 
the Ubuntu version for the Debian version, and got a functional printer 
immediately.

But now, Adept, and apt-get have targeted that file as "upgradeable". I want 
it to be saved until a new Ubuntu version is out. How can I do that?
