Log rotation is b0rked

This Dapper system has been up since 15MAR and the logs have yet to 
rotate  ...even w/--force as an addition in the script.  It also never 
executed a small script of mine.  

I had to do major stuff to Breezy b-4 the logs would rotate, which amounted to 
removing scripts that I deemed not absolutely necessary.  Is there a limit to 
what will execute in cron.daily??  Also, my auto-magic data backup never took 
place.  That was placed in crontab.
