Try FreeBASIC:

http://www.freebasic.net/

Allegedly - I've not yet tried it! - it compiles the MS QuickBASIC
dialect, supports SDL, OpenGL and various other popular graphical
toolkits, is portable across Linux, Windows and other OSs and has
various other enhancements.

If you're happy with BASIC, stick with what you know. I'd ignore the
bigot who rail against BASIC - their predjudices are usually derived
from minimal exposure to primitive early 1980s 8-bit BASICs and they
know nothing about what a powerful, flexible modern language it can
be.
