Localization problem

Hello,
I'm try to use my ubuntu system in my local langauge i.e. Hindi for that
i've installed following packages,
language-pack-hi
language-pack-hi-base
language-pack-gnome-hi
language-pack-gnome-hi-base

Now when I changed my session language to hindi & i logged in to my system
my system language chaged, but only the desktop menu's are display that
language not all application like gedit, gaim etc.
When I try to start applications from the terminal it shows this message.

(gedit:6518): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
        Using the fallback 'C' locale.

(gedit:6518): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library

What's the problem & who can i solve this.
Please help me.
