Those who criticize Gnome but have no clue whatsoever about it ... oh
well, forget it. The setting is in Edit > Preferences > Tab
Behavior > Single click to activate items. Or Top Toolbar > System >
Preferences > File Management > Tab Behavior > Single click to activate
items.
