Nvidia latest drivers and text mode not working

Rollback the driver?  Was there something specific in the new driver you need 
that outweighs the lack of virtual terminals (ALT+F[1-6])?  If not, roll back 
and be happy.  Those who live on the bleeding edge, occasionally get cut ;)
