XGL without ati/nvidia

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I was looking for a portable laptop, but 12" seems
too small. 
Does XGL effects work properly (cube, wobbling, transparencies...)? I
might as well go for the inspiron 6000 with a WXGA+ screen. Do you think
there is a big difference in size and weight with 15,4 laptops? I like
the screen having the same resolution as a regular 15,4 computer and its
300E cheaper than inspiron 6000.
