[Dapper] initramfs-tools and kernel upgrade issues

I can remove the packages in question, however, if I do an "apt-get
install initramfs-tools udev linux-image-2.6.15-17-k7" I end up with the
same problem. Since my original email, I noticed that
linux-image-2.6.15-18-k7 came out and I tried that, however, I still end
up with the same problem.
