How often will LTS releases be released?

I have start thinking about replacing Linux servers at my work running
one of the two major enterprise distributions to Ubuntu. Today we have
close to 100 servers.
I have looked around on the Ubuntu site to find how often LTS-releases
will be released. But can not find an answer. Does anyone know how often
will LTS releases be released?

RH and Suse explains that they will release a new enterprise release
every 12 to 18 months. Will the timeframe be similar for Ubuntu?
