Installing SendMail

Sendmail is the old Unix mail server, it has been supplanted by Postfix
and Qmail.  However, do you really need it?  These days, most desktop
PCs have no need to run their own mail server.

What precisely are you trying to do?  Are you writing a PHP program to
send out mail?
