LOL. I wasn't trying to suggest my environment is better than yours
either - I'm simply a firm believer in using configuration tools
(preferably GUI) rather than editing anything by hand. Anybody who tells
me he can do a better job, and faster, editing by hand is conveniently
forgetting all the times he entered a typo and spent hours trying to figure
out why an app wouldn't start!

I'm fairly sure it has to restart Samba to do that, but it takes it out of
your hands, anyway.
