BEA WebLogic under Ubuntu

The server portion of the WebLogic platform (V 8.1 SP4 )did run without 
any issues when I tried it.
The WebLogic Workshop application had some issues with font settings.
The page flow controller stuff would not work under ubuntu.  That was 
about 10 months ago on Breezy.

You might want to give Workshop V 9.2 a try (It is still in Beta 
stage).  This version is an based on eclipse and might work out 
better.   Ubuntu being still not officially supported by BEA, YMMV.
