Well, it might be.  I use Epiphany and I haven't installed any
particular extensions - or I do not remember installing any.  But both
Firefox and Epiphany use a lot of shared code so perhaps you are
correct.

I've just checked my extensions in Epiphany and it tells me that
nothing has been installed in the way of any extension.  Perhaps it is
a throwback on my system to an earlier Firefox installation - but at
least it works so I am not complaining!

EDIT:  I've just looked at Firefox and it does not have any extensions
installed for printing to PDF.  So my version of Firefox / Epiphany is
printing to PDF without an extension so it appears to be a capability
provided by something else.  If I look under System -> Administration
-> Printing there is nothing installed there that is PDF specific -
simply the drivers for my 2 printers.
